{"id":1799,"date":"2020-11-30T13:21:08","date_gmt":"2020-11-30T09:21:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/qia.az\/en\/?p=1799"},"modified":"2020-11-30T13:21:09","modified_gmt":"2020-11-30T09:21:09","slug":"jennifer-psaki-to-be-press-secretary-of-white-house","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/qia.az\/en\/jennifer-psaki-to-be-press-secretary-of-white-house\/","title":{"rendered":"Jennifer Psaki to be Press Secretary of White House"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>US President-elect Joe Biden has appointed an all-female senior press team, in what his office claims are a first in the country&#8217;s history,\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Q\u0130A.AZ&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0says, citing TASS.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The team will be led by Kate Bedingfield, former deputy campaign communications director for Mr. Biden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jen Psaki, who was President Barack Obama&#8217;s White House communications director, will be press secretary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mr. Biden has promised to build a diverse administration that reflects the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;I am proud to announce today the first senior White House communications team comprised entirely of women,&#8221; Mr. Biden said in a statement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;These qualified, experienced communicators bring diverse perspectives to their work and a shared commitment to building this country back better.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two top press aides to Vice-President-elect Kamala Harris will be Symone Sanders and Ashley Etienne.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unlike cabinet positions, the press office does not require Senate confirmation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Following his election win, Mr. Biden has been unveiling his first choices for top cabinet positions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>General elections were held in the United States on November 3.
