These bacteria absorb water-soluble iron, which then forms crystals of iron oxide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Experiments show that these bacteria are arranged along the Earth&#8217;s magnetic field axis like a compass axis. And if a magnet is added to the bacterium, they gather around the magnetic poles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to scientists, with the help of a magnetic field, Magnetospirillum can control the liquid flow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In the research, the movement of bacteria was simulated in the bloodstream in the veins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this case, the specialists could limit bacteria&#8217;s activity to a small area and control the flow of fluid with very high accuracy. However, all this required a relatively high concentration of bacteria in the liquid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Scientists should check the safety of the method in animals and patients.
