{"id":2557,"date":"2020-12-14T13:23:57","date_gmt":"2020-12-14T09:23:57","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/qia.az\/en\/?p=2557"},"modified":"2020-12-14T13:23:58","modified_gmt":"2020-12-14T09:23:58","slug":"another-victory-socar-wins-tender-for-turkmen-oil-purchase","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/qia.az\/en\/another-victory-socar-wins-tender-for-turkmen-oil-purchase\/","title":{"rendered":"Another victory- SOCAR wins tender for Turkmen oil purchase"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>SOCAR Trading, a subsidiary of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR), has won a tender to purchase Turkmen oil produced by Eni Turkmenistan,\u00a0<strong>&#8220;Q\u0130A.AZ&#8221;<\/strong>\u00a0says, citing Argus media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thus, SOCAR Trading has returned to its portfolio some of the oil purchased by Vitol in Turkmenistan since 2017.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As a result of this tender, SOCAR Trading has surpassed the oil market giants such as ENOC, Vitol, Rosneft, Lukoil, and Trafigura.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Market participants believe that this may increase Turkmen crude supply via the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) oil pipeline by reducing transit through Makhachkala and Novorossiysk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Deputy Vice President of SOCAR&nbsp;<strong>Adnan Ahmadzade<\/strong>&nbsp;confirmed the deal in a statement to Report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to the information provided, Turkmenistan plans to send 30,000-40,000 tons of Okarem oil per month in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In January-November, exports of Okarem oil from Turkmenistan increased to 341,000 tons.
