Russia is officially resuming regular flights with Azerbaijan on February 17, “QİA.AZ” informs, referring to TASS.
The flights between the two countries were suspended last year amid the COVID pandemic.
The airlines of each country can now operate two Moscow-Baku flights a week.
Azerbaijan’s national airline AZAL has announced plans to launch special flights to Moscow from February 17. Meanwhile, the entry for tourists to Azerbaijan is currently closed.
Only diplomats, foreigners whose relatives have Azerbaijani citizenship, foreigners who have a work permit or residence permit, as well as students can enter the country. All categories of citizens will have to go through a two-week quarantine. They will also need to have a PCR test valid for 48 hours before departure.
