SOCAR New Energy, established jointly with the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) to supply Rosneft oil products to Ukraine, delivered 78,300 tons of diesel fuel in June, according to the report of the consulting group “A-95,” Report informs referring to Ukrainian media.
Some 24,300 tons of this volume were transferred to SOCAR Energy Ukraine, a subsidiary of SOCAR in Ukraine.
In total, 533,000 tons of diesel fuel were supplied to Ukraine in June. This is 6 percent less than in the same period last year.
Last month, 197,000 tons of diesel fuel were imported from Russia, 15 percent less than in June 2020. The importers of Russian diesel fuel included Bel Petrol Trading and BRSM-Nafta. Thus, in June, Bel Petrol Trading imported 17,700 tons and BRSM-Nafta – 16,300 tons of diesel fuel. In addition, 8,100 tons of diesel fuel were supplied to WOG and 7,300 tons of diesel fuel to Libro Trading.
Last month, 175,200 tons of diesel fuel were supplied from Belarus to Ukraine, 17.3 percent less than the annual figure. The reason for this decline is associated with the repair work at the Mozyr refinery in Belarus and a decrease in the volume of oil refining at the Naftan refinery.
But, despite this, the decrease in the supply of this type of fuel to the country’s market from Belarus was offset by supplies from other directions. So, in particular, last month, the supply of diesel fuel from Lithuania increased by almost 50 percent compared to June 2020 and amounted to 73,300 tons.
The volume of diesel fuel imported through the ports over the past month amounted to 87,000 tons, which is 21 percent more than in the same month of 2020. Of these volumes, 54,000 tons accounted for Turkey. In addition, 12,600 tons were supplied from Turkmenistan last month, and 7,800 tons from Greece.
In addition, last month Ukraine imported 2,000 tons of diesel fuel from Malaysia, 700 tons from Israel, and 200 tons from India.
