EU reaches its target to fully vaccinate at least 70 percent of adults

The European Union has reached its goal of fully vaccinating 70% of the adult population against coronavirus, said the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen, Report informs.

“Seventy percent of adults in the EU are fully vaccinated. I want to thank the many people making this great achievement possible. But we must go further!” she tweeted.

“We need more Europeans to vaccinate. And we need to help the rest of the world vaccinate, too.”

Ursula von der Leyen also noted that the EU would continue supporting its partners.
