The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan and ADA University jointly organized the opening ceremony of the diplomacy week on “44 days of the Patriotic War and Azerbaijan’s foreign policy after the war,” Report informs, citing the Foreign Ministry.

The memory of our martyrs, who sacrificed their lives for Azerbaijan’s territorial integrity, was commemorated with a minute of silence.

At the event, the head of the Diplomatic Volunteers under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Azerbaijan Nigar Eyvazzadeh, presented the project and spoke about the activities to be carried out within the project.

The vice-rector of ADA University, Fariz Ismailzade, who delivered a welcoming speech, expressed satisfaction that the university, together with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, acted as the organizer of a project to inform young people about the 44-day Patriotic War and foreign policy implemented in the post-war period. He stressed the critical role played by young people in terms of representing Azerbaijan in the international arena.

Hikmet Hajiyev stressed that the event coincided with the anniversary of the Armenian side committing another act of aggression on the state border of Azerbaijan in the direction of Tovuz.

The event noted that Azerbaijani Armed Forces adequately responded to the military provocations of the enemy. The glorious Victory achieved by the heroic Azerbaijani Army under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, during 44 days Patriotic War, is inscribed in the history of Azerbaijan in golden letters.
