President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan has visited Montenegro.
Report informs, citing TRT Haber, that he met with the President of Montenegro Milo Đukanović, and the sides discussed bilateral relations and regional issues.
Later on, they held a press conference.
“We have strongly supported Montenegro’s accession to NATO. We also sincerely believe that this country’s membership in the European Union will contribute to peace and prosperity. Turkey was also one of the first countries to recognize Montenegro’s independence. At the meeting, we decided to further develop our bilateral relations. Turkey is among the top 10 countries investing in Montenegro. We have set a target of $ 250 million. We also exchanged views on the international issues of interest to the Balkans and our countries,” Erdogan said.
