Imports in Azerbaijan-Russia trade turnover exceed exports 3 times

In January-May this year, trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Russia amounted to $1,059,322,560.

Report informs, citing the State Customs Committee, that this is $10,997,990 or 1.05% more compared to the same period last year.

The trade turnover between the two countries amounted to 8.96% of total foreign trade.

During the first five months of this year, the value of Azerbaijan’s exports to Russia amounted to $291,360,820, which is $12,476,600 or 4.47% more than a year earlier.

The value of Azerbaijan’s imports from Russia amounted to $767,961,740 ($1,478,620 or 0.2% less than 2020).

Azerbaijan’s exports to Russia accounted for 3.92% of total exports, while imports from Russia made 18.47% of total imports.

The volume of imports in Azerbaijan’s trade turnover with Russia exceeded exports by 2.6 times.
