Pashinyan calls pace of vaccination against COVID in Armenia ‘shameful’

Acting Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan has called the low rate of those vaccinated against coronavirus in the country shameful and ordered government members to get vaccinated against COVID within a week, “QİA.az” informs referring to Armenian media.

“Let’s start with us. Let’s agree that everyone in the hall will be vaccinated against coronavirus within a week,” Pashinyan said.

He noted that only 2,690 people have been vaccinated in the republic.

“The indicator of vaccinated citizens is a sign of the country’s quality in all senses: economic, civilizational, political one,” Pashinyan said.

The number of confirmed cases of coronavirus infection in Armenia has increased to 215,528. The number of deaths from complications of the coronavirus in Armenia is 4,087 (plus 16 over the past day).
