Sweden appears to be changing its strategy to stop the spread of COVID-19 after previously favoring lighter measures compared to the rest of Europe.

The country introduces strict nationwide quarantine measures against the background of an increase in coronavirus incidence, QİA.AZ says, citing the WSJ.

So, the authorities ban to hold mass meetings and gather more than eight people. Cinemas and entertainment facilities, schools are also closed in the country.

According to the latest data, more than 7 thousand people have become victims of coronavirus in Sweden, with more than 278 thousand recoveries. Notably, at the beginning of the pandemic, the Kingdom’s authorities did not impose strict restrictions due to COVID-19. Officials later admitted that this policy was a failure.
