Taliban set up tripartite media committee

The radical Taliban movement that seized power in Afghanistan has announced the creation of a tripartite committee in the country to resolve media problems, Report informs referring to TASS.

“A tripartite committee has been established in Kabul to solve media problems. It included a competent representative of the Commission on Culture of the Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, deputy chairman of the media protection association, as well as a representative of the Kabul provincial police headquarters,” Taliban spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid tweeted.

Earlier, several Afghan journalists, mostly women, announced that after the Taliban seized power in the country, they lost their jobs. In particular, Shabnam Khan Dawran, an anchor at RTA (Radio Television Afghanistan), said that the Taliban didn’t allow her to enter her office.
