Tokyo 2020: Azerbaijani flag bearers and judokas begin to compete

Today, six more Azerbaijani athletes will join the Tokyo 2020 Summer Paralympic Games.

According to Report, on the next day of the competition, Raman Saleh will compete in the category of 100-meter backstroke.

Then four judokas will enter the mat. In the men’s competition, Vugar Shirinli (60 kg) will face the winner of Henry Borges (Uruguay) / Recep Ciftci (Turkey) bout, Namig Abasli will encounter the winner of Ibanez Banon (Spain) / Luis Perez (Puerto Rico) bout. Among women, Shahana Hajiyeva (48 kg) will compete with Shuzika Hangai from Japan and Basti Safarova (52 kg) with Yui Fujiwara.

Finally, para athlete Olokhan Musayev, the flag bearer of the Azerbaijani team, will compete in the shot put.
