Russia is concerned about any manifestations of escalation of tensions on the border between Azerbaijan and Armenia, spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova said at a briefing on Thursday, Report informs, citing TASS.
“Certainly, we are concerned about the manifestation of the escalation of tensions on separate sections of the Azerbaijani-Armenian border. And, certainly, it has an extremely negative influence on the regional situation, does not promote normalization of a dialogue between Azerbaijan and Armenia, and leads to senseless civilian losses in both countries,” she said.
Zakharova noted that Russia hopes for the soonest launch of border delimitation talks between Armenia and Azerbaijan and is ready to assist in this issue.
