Russian President Vladimir Putin has discussed the situation in Afghanistan with his Iranian counterpart Ebrahim Raisi, according to the Kremlin press service, Report informs referring to RIA Novosti.
Particular attention was paid to the events taking place in Afghanistan, readiness to contribute to the establishment of peace and stability in this country was expressed.
“The prospects for resuming the implementation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action on the Iranian nuclear program were discussed. Preparations for the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization in Dushanbe were also discussed, taking into account Iran’s application for full-fledged membership in this organization. It was agreed to continue personal contacts,” the statement said.
